On celebrating with the people of Egypt
At about 8:15 am California time, the people of Egypt learned that their nonviolent movement had rid the world of the brutal 30-year dictatorship installed, supported and funded at $1.3 billion per year by fascist elements (fascism: a combination of business and political elites) within the US government.
This turning over of the Middle Eastern status quo--originally installed by the victors of WW I--may prove to be one of history's major revolutions, and could well surpass anything the spouter of "change we can believe in" plans to achieve.
Following the cannibalistic catastrophe commonly referred to as WW I, Emil Molt founded a new type of school dedicated to the proposition that the children of Europe can be taught to think for themselves and resist being led into the foolish wars that had maimed, killed, and brutalized so many of their parents.
We don't need to dwell on the decades of US-funded corruption, abuse, torture, and mass murder that the people of Egypt have endured ever since the victors of WW I carved up the Ottoman Empire and installed a series of corrupt puppet regimes. That won't go over well within a population indoctrinated to believe that America always means well.
Despite our childish, pompous and self-centered propaganda, we can pause today to honor the courageous people of Egypt who in ancient times rid themselves of the brutal 800-year Hyksos invaders, and today freed themselves again, this time using the nonviolent principles of Henry David Thoreau, Gandhi, and MLK. Jr.
Viva la Evolution!
