Algebra Grade 8

The Algebra One course begins with a fast-paced review of the previous year. The beauty, clarity, and utility of algebraic reasoning are explored through practical and not so practical challenges. We will conclude with a study of the quadratic formula, and introduce formal logical reasoning.

The curriculum is Waldorf-inspired and aligned with California State Standards. Memorization of state mandated facts and skills is fully covered, however we go well beyond such short-sighted goals to encourage the development of deep mathematical intuition and reasoning.  Read More »
